The Fantasmic show.
But in that list, probably Indiana Jones... I sing along to it out loud on the ride, and people stare at me. It's so fun. XP
"Well, what do you do with big white blank spaces often times?" "Make it into a banjo..?" |

There is a magical chest expanding, tear jerking moment when I hear 'When You Wish Upon A Star' in disneyland (fantasyland especially) at night. A sort
of tranquility and hope fills me that I can't find out in the 'real' world XD

There's something so wonderfully tiki (tacky?) about Pierre, Michael, Jose and Frtiz.
My voice may not be marvolous, but mon profile ees out of this world (something in German that apparently means Heck yes!) The trouble is, it's not far enough out of this world! |

UltraByte wrote:I absolutely agree about the fantasmic! Especially the music from the finale when the steamboat with all of the characters sails across the rivers of america. Also a few times I remember hearing the instrumental music in the tram waiting area/ticket booths between Disneyland and DCA. Also, speaking of DCA, my favorite music in DCA is the Soarin' over California soundtrack! |

I like that you noticed the music in the tram area - it just sets the mood for a great day in the parks!

I had to pick Grim Grinning Ghosts but When You Wish Upon A Star came in a really close second. It is my ringtone.......

I voted Mad Hatter's Tea Party. That music is just so happy! I can't stand still when I hear it.

For me it has to be Meet Me Down On Main Street. I've always loved barbershop quartet and the Dapper Dans are such an integral part of Disneyana.

Grim Grinning Ghosts has the most wonderful alliteration, and the melody works on so many levels. It can be played slow and ethereal or lively and jazzy. I
plan to walk down the aisle to the music box rendition from Phantom Manor (it can be heard in the queue at Disneyland during Haunted Mansion Holiday)
I also love the early jazzy cartoon music that plays in Toontown! |

I can't find it now, but there used to be the old sing along VHS series and there was one that was great! It was a Disneyland one and filmed in the park
with a great Grim Grinning Ghost scene with the villains, and a 'I'm Walking Right Down the Middle of Main Street USA' beautiful getting to see all
the characters dancing to it, and the there was 'Makin' Memories' and a few other original songs.
Also after my experience at the Big Thunder Celebration BBQ I found myself re-listening to a bunch of Disney music influenced by country, especially ' A Cowboy Needs a Horse' great to see these songs performed in the park and remember the little cartoon shorts they were from. |

I have that VHS!!!!! At one point, I had 2 copies- I checked it from the library and they didn't really want it back. =( Mine is actually a copy my mom
made, so it has some other stuff at the end she recorded, mostly really old Mickey shorts, including Plane Crazy and Mickey's Bandstand. You can find a few
of the songs on Youtube. It has so many awesome music videos, let's see if I can list them without grabbing my copy:
Whistle while you Work (Characters getting the park ready) Step in Time (Rope drop) I'm walking right down the middle of mainstreet (parade) Following the Leader (Jungle Cruise with Donald) Great Outdoors (Country Bears running around Tom Sawyer's Island) Zip-a-dee-do-dah (Fastest rides in the park, includes skyway and subs!) Rumbly in my Tumbly (food yum) It's a small world Making Memories (camera moments) Grim Grinning Ghosts (awesome HM footage) Disneyland Parade (duh!) When you wish upon a Star (fireworks/closing with characters) Sometimes I'll pop it in while I'm on the exercise bike and sing along! |
