leftylives wrote:Wow, thanks for that perspective leftylives. I had never thought about it from that perspective before. I can certainly see how that would really take away from some of the excitement that builds up during the queue. I would be curious to know if they have talked about this internally, and have made plans to change... or perhaps decided that they prefer status quo.
My favorite in years past was Star Tours. Probably because I grew up with Star Wars and getting the chance to step into that world was a dream come true. But on our last visit (April of 2008) my oldest daughter who must now use a wheelchair made it impossible to enjoy the queues because in most cases we had to enter through the exits and while everyone was very nice and polite we feel that we missed part of the experience of the attractions. Speaking for my family we would rather wait in line so if anyone out there is listening more wheelchair accessible queues would be nice.

My wife and I racked our brains and none of the older attraction are accessible in Disneyland. But the new attractions such as Winnie The Pooh is. Actually
Winnie The Pooh is the only attraction that we could think of in Disneyland that a person in a wheelchair enters through the main entrance. However, in DCA
Grizzly River Rapids and Soarin' both entered through the main entrance. Though I kinda wish Soarin' was the old way because it is the most boring
queue ever.

Sometimes by going in the back way, you get to see some exclusive stuff. My mom got a powerchair one time, and we headed over to the Haunted Mansion. They
asked if we wanted to see the pre-show, and of course we said yes (because no one passes up the stretching room.) We were asked to wait in a small hallway
until the next group came in. We were left in a very dimly lit corridor, and when the CM opened the door we all jumped! Later, at about 11:30, we went back
over, and got straight on the ride from the exit. We went through the darkest room I've ever been in, and it brought us back to the normal load area. Being
between pre-shows, the CMs were apparently bored. I was sitting closest to the walkway, when the guy jumped around the edge of the seat and yelled "What
are you doing in my DoomBuggy?!!" I screamed, and every one laughed. It was awesome!

I'd have to say Indiana Jones, I just love walking through and listening to the ambiance and looking around at everything. I even got the old decoder cards
printed up from a copy I found online and laminated them for all the times I take people who've never been! Makes for a fun trip.

Hmmm....
I will have to say Tower of Terror, but the one at WDW is better than DLR... So I will change my vote to Indy.

I love the Indiana Jones queue, because as a kid, I would see the markings and want to decipher it. Nowadays, I'm almost fluent (I guess you could say that
XD) in the reading. Not to mention, the queue is just amazing with the little details, and sometimes I really think I'm deep in a forgotten cave filled
with treasures.
I also like the line for Roger Rabbit, because the imagineers really brought the feel for the movie into the ride. Not to mention, all the random happenings in the line (Daffy Duck/Donald Duck's duel, Jessica Rabbit, the ape bouncer) get me every time. Not to mention, in the night city part, there's a random smiling moon that makes me crack up every time (and every time, I get stares). BUT, my choice was tied between the Haunted Mansion and the Tower of Terror. One, the lines are amazing with the details; everything is themed for the ride. Everything looks dusty and forgotten, and it gives off a mysterious air. Then, there's the cast members who are pretty much part of the queues, because of the personalities they play: solemn uncaring people who may be lost souls bounded to a fleshy form, and are stuck at the attraction for the rest of their lives (okay, maybe not). I ultimately went with ToT, just because I have a horrible past with the Haunted Mansion from when I was a kid, and I still get the creeps from the ride... Jeff is not going to like me. XD

No. You can never get enough yodeling or accordion - and don't forget the lederhosen, the icing on the Matterhorn cake of fun!

I have a hard time choosing just one. I love the Star Tours queue, even the over flow room. I love walking under the "scanner." It's also fun
to see the different departure times. (One day my wife and I will go to Coruscant:)

I was surprised to see that I was the only person to choose the Bugs Life queue. It's such a cool design, especially with the clever show posters they have
on the walls. That's my favorite thing about Bugs Land too. I'm just a big fan of clever graphic design work. My favorite overall is actually another
odd choice. I love the queue for Winnie the Pooh. It's such a beautifully landscaped area which is typically pretty relaxed. Critter Country is a pretty
chill place to hang out in general (plus they sell awesome candy!). I only wish it were a little bigger.

I still get a sinister thrill from waiting until Indy's Spike Room fills with summer tourists and then pulling the bamboo support. So many screams...

Mousetalgia Kristen wrote: Only the bestest game ever! And the exit of the Pooh ride on a slow day is perfectly designed for it! In the episode in The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh in which Rabbit tries to trick the bounce out of Tigger, the gang is playing Pooh Sticks, a game where two or more parties drop different sticks into the water on one side of the bridge, then rush over to the opposite side of the bridge to see whose stick emerges from under the bridge first! It's a very Pooh-ish game. ^^ (Important note: I meant my second post as a reply to fc's comment about the Pooh queue but forgot to quote his post ^^')

I played that game once at Turkey Run.
My favorite Queue is a tie b/t Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones, Star Tours, Pirates (WDW), and (although I haven't been to Paris) Phantom Manor. Reasons for each: HM: The Morphing Portraits (love the were-tiger painting) Indy: Indy has marked locations of the booby traps and the Eeyore sign inside it. ST: The reapir droid sounds cute, and looks like WALL•E. PotC: Your walking through a fortress or a villa to get to Pirate's Cove and you also get to see the Black Pearl in the distance. PM: Narration in French (reminds me a little of Lumiere), dismal grand stairway , original morphing portaits, portrait of Melanie. Mickey Mania is awesome.
